Grief & grieving are so misunderstood in our culture. Expressing ourselves and the complex emotions we are feeling by quietly creating is one of the most therapeutic steps we could ever take.

THERAPEUTIC ART SESSIONS
1X1 Therapeutic Art Sessions
After the loss of my brother in 2023, I unexpectedly found myself with a handful of his brushes. I’d only ever dabbled in painting before, but the more I incorporated them and the act of simply doing something with my grieving, the more healing I found in giving my grief a place to go.
This is when I decided to dive deeper into the therapeutic aspects of art and art making. And this is why I now offer one on one sessions, because I sincerely want you to experience the comfort and healing creating can bring.
Each sixty minute session will begin with a brief check in. A few questions such as - How was the day? What are you currently feeling? Then, we’ll do a moment of breath work just to get us grounded and we’ll begin writing, drawing, or painting. You get to choose. I will use my discretion and may incorporate another activity or two, but I’ll always check in before I do. Sometimes we’ll simply chat about other things, sometimes we won’t talk at all, we’ll just be quietly making.
I’ve come to understand that there is comfort in simply allowing space for the grief, just as much as there is comfort in creating.
Workshop Webinars
Once a month, I’ll be visiting the studios of other artists to talk to them about their experience with grief & grieving and how it informs their lives & their work. Then, we’ll make something together and you’ll be invited to participate :)
You can simply join a webinar as an observer, knowing that for one hour you’re within a virtual community that understands what you’re going through. Or, you can join in from wherever you are in the world and make something in real time with us. How you experience the hour is entirely and always up to you.
We’ll share personal stories and points of view based on our own experiences of loss, whether it was the passing of someone we loved, saying goodbye to a beloved furry friend, a lack of personal fulfillment, or a sense of sadness about current world affairs.
Whether you decide to just watch a workshop or actively engage, each participant will be sent a list of materials ahead of time that will be used on the day. You’ll be able to decide how you’d like to source them - from wildflowers for a floral arrangement to a mini canvas & paints from the dollar store - all materials are meant to be inexpensive and readily available. The comfort of the workshops is intended to be in attending. Perhaps just signing up will be enough for you, but I genuinely hope you’ll join us too.

“MAKING” MEMBERSHIPS
Monthly “Making” Memberships
A “Making” Membership gives you unlimited access to the complete Workshop Webinar library for as long as your membership is in good standing. This means you’ll be able to create or simply be comforted by the content and conversations anytime, anywhere in the world, however you may be feeling.
We all know what it is to grieve, whatever the reason may be. Each webinar is unique and intended to be uplifting as we learn how to make something new together while discussing the struggles of what loss really looks like in a world that seems to be in such a hurry to move on.
My aim with the “Making” Memberships is to give you access online to people just like you who are trying to make sense of things after the loss of someone or something they held dear.
